The Hotel Guanahani & Spa in St Barth has named Martein van Wagenberg as its new managing director.

Van Wagenberg’s previous stops have included managing Rosewood Little Dix Bay in Virgin Gorda and Las Ventanas al Paraiso in Los Cabos, Meixico.

“I am excited to be returning to the Caribbean to join the team at the Hotel Guanahani & Spa,” van Wagenberg said in a statement. “Through continued hard work inspired by creativity, dedication to excellence and intuitive service, we will ensure the property retains its place among the most unique and special hotels in the world.”

The property will be reopening Nov. 1 following a renovation led by David Schwartz architects and Luis Pons D-LAB.
