Jamaica’s Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce won the 200M women’s race Friday in her return to Diamond League racing in Doha.

The two-time Olympic gold medalist finished in 22.48 seconds, just ahead of fellow Jamaican Sherone Simpson, who came in at 22.73 seconds at the Qatar Sports Club.

Both of her golds have come in the 100M race, while she has earned a pair of silvers in the 200M, including on in London last summer.

Samantha Henry-Robinson, another Jamaican, finished fourth, just behind France’s Myriam Soumare.

In the men’s action, Jamaica’s Nesta Carter finished third in the 100M, ahead of St Kitts and Nevis’ Kim Collins, who finished fourth. (The United States’ Justin Gatlin and Michael Rodgers finished first and second, respectively).

Fraser Pryce was named Caribbean Journal’s Sportswoman of the Year in 2012.
