The Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Casino & Spa will open its new Mexicado eatery as part of a series of ongoing renovations, the company announced.

Mexicado, billed as Aruba’s first authentic Mexican restaurant, is part of the property’s ongoing multi-million renovations. Hyatt is also unveiling its refurbished Ruinas del Mar signature restaurant this month.

“We are incredibly excited to offer the island its very first quintessential Mexican restaurant as this is a milestone not only for Aruba, but also for Hyatt,” said Fred Hoffmann, general manager at Hyatt Aruba.  “2012 also marked a year of improvements at the resort, from the new spa to upgraded amenities. We are proud of the result and will continuously strive to offer our guests the best possible experience.”

Another dining option, the Shoco Market Cafe, is unveiling designs by Los Angeles-based Indidesign, while the Balashi Pool Bar has also undergone a facelift.

The hotel opened its 5,200-square-foot ZoiA Spa in Feburary 2012.
