Cancun Is Getting a New Adults-Only, All-Inclusive Oceanfront Resort

The Mexican Caribbean’s hottest destination is about to welcome a brand-new kind of adults-only all-inclusive resort. Next month, Secrets Mirabel Cancun Resort and Spa will officially open in the heart of Cancun’s Hotel Zone, just eight miles from the airport. For travelers seeking the combination of oceanfront indulgence and easy access, this new Hyatt property promises both.
The resort has an official opening date of Oct. 1, but it’s looking like the actual opening will be closer to November, according to portals like Google Hotels.
The resort will give guests panoramic views, from the turquoise expanse of the Caribbean Sea to the calm stretch of the Nichupté Lagoon. In a city known for its energy, Secrets Mirabel is designed to be a haven — contemporary, refined, and entirely adults-only.
Its arrival is part of a wider wave of growth for Secrets Resorts & Spas across the region. Earlier this year the brand made headlines with its debut in St. Lucia, and a new property is rising now on Aruba’s Baby Beach, bringing its signature combination of romance and modern luxury to even more destinations. Cancun, already a powerhouse for global travel, is the natural next step.
A Resort Designed for Grown-Up Escapes
Secrets Mirabel will debut with nearly 500 suites, including Preferred Club options that feature plunge pools, spacious terraces and sweeping sea views. The architecture leans modern yet understated, with airy spaces designed to frame the coastline. Every suite blends sleek design with all-inclusive comfort, aiming to create an atmosphere where days feel both private and connected to the larger resort experience.
The property’s restaurants and lounges are central to that experience. Multiple dining concepts will range from gourmet à la carte restaurants to casual beachside bites, complemented by cocktail lounges and ocean-view bars. Like other Secrets properties, the resort will include Bordeaux, a French fine dining favorite, alongside Asian and Mexican culinary outlets.
Pools, Spa and Wellness
Beyond the accommodations, the heart of the resort is its oceanfront pool complex, where infinity edges seem to blend into the Caribbean horizon. Guests will also find a full-service Secrets Spa, offering hydrotherapy circuits, wellness treatments and spaces designed for relaxation and rejuvenation. A modern fitness center with lagoon views completes the wellness experience, while quiet corners across the property invite long afternoons of unwinding.
Cancun’s Hotel Zone, Reimagined
Secrets Mirabel’s location means guests are just a short ride from both the airport and Cancun’s nightlife, shopping and dining. But the property’s setting — between sea and lagoon — allows it to feel worlds away. For weddings, honeymoons and social escapes, the resort will pair its natural backdrop with dedicated event venues and tailored services.
Part of a Regional Expansion
For Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection, this opening is more than just another resort in Cancun. Secrets Mirabel represents the brand’s third major debut of 2025, joining Secrets St. Lucia Resort & Spa, which opened earlier this year on the island’s northwest coast, and the just-debuted Secrets Baby Beach Aruba, a much-anticipated launch on one of Aruba’s most iconic stretches of sand. Together, these properties showcase Secrets’ expansion into both established and emerging Caribbean markets.
That expansion is is a nod to the biggest ask of most travelers to the Caribbean right now: all-inclusive, ideally done in a sophisticated, adults-only style that balance destination authenticity with consistent service and comfort.
With the new Cancun opening, Secrets will strengthen its position in one of the Caribbean’s most competitive markets — and offer travelers a brand-new choice for an autumn or winter getaway.
