Hilton just opened a new dual-brand property in Saltillo, the capital of the Mexican state of Coahuila and one of the country’s fastest-growing industrial hubs, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The new Tru by Hilton Saltillo and Homewood Suites by Hilton Saltillo, owned by American Hotels Group, are designed to cater to both business and leisure travelers, offering options for short visits and extended stays under one roof.

“The opening of Tru by Hilton and Homewood Suites by Hilton in Saltillo reflects our commitment to delivering more choice and flexibility to travelers,” said Maxime Verstraete, vice president of brand management for Hilton in the Caribbean and Latin America. “Dual-brand properties like this allow us to meet a wide variety of stay needs, while also creating operational efficiencies for owners and offering a win-win scenario for both guests and developers.”

The hotels are located on Saltillo’s main thoroughfare, five kilometers from the city center and less than 13 kilometers from Plan de Guadalupe International Airport. Guests have easy access to Parque Centro mall, the Museo del Desierto, and the Santa María and Ramos Arizpe industrial parks.

Amenities include a daily complimentary hot breakfast buffet, a northern Mexican restaurant, a cocktail bar, and a 24-hour convenience shop. Travelers can also enjoy a heated pool, a fitness center, and even a foosball table in the interactive lobby. For meetings and events, the complex offers eight rooms with nearly 400 square meters of flexible space.

For Juan Carlos Saade, owner of the hotels, the investment reflects confidence in Saltillo’s growth. “The property was carefully designed for the modern traveler, responding to the changing needs of the city’s dynamic business sector and cultural appeal,” he said.

Tru by Hilton Saltillo
The Tru by Hilton Saltillo, the brand’s second property in Mexico, has 74 rooms designed for functionality and comfort, with large windows, bright bathrooms, and intuitive layouts. The lobby features a custom mural with local motifs and dynamic areas to play, socialize, and work.

Homewood Suites by Hilton Saltillo
The Homewood Suites by Hilton Saltillo, the brand’s third in Mexico, offers 84 apartment-style suites ideal for extended stays. Each suite includes separate living and sleeping areas, fully equipped kitchens, and a contemporary design with gray tones and fuchsia accents.

Guests at both properties can take advantage of Hilton Honors, the company’s award-winning loyalty program, with exclusive member discounts, free standard Wi-Fi, and flexible payment options combining points and money.
