Riu Ventura, Cancun’s Newest All-Inclusive, Has 700 Rooms and Rooftop Views, and a December Opening Date

It's got 700 rooms.

You follow the curve of Cancun’s Hotel Zone until the city’s hum softens and the sweep of Playa Delfines opens before you. It’s here, on one of the most iconic beaches in the Mexican Caribbean, that Riu’s newest resort is rising — the Hotel Riu Ventura, a modern all-inclusive set to debut on Dec. 6, 2025.

The lines are clean, the mood is fresh, and the rhythm is pure Riu: easy all-inclusive living that moves from beach to pool to dinner with no second thought. With more than 700 rooms, including family suites and swim-up categories, the resort is designed to welcome everyone — from families and couples to friends chasing a winter escape (or just looking for the famous drink dispensers).

Six pools anchor the experience. Children gravitate to the slides pool; adults are drawn to the sixth-floor pool deck, where the horizon feels almost within reach. At ground level, the Caribbean Sea is just steps away, turquoise and endless.

Days here are filled with activity if you want it: RIUFit programs in the morning, RIULand for kids, entertainment that carries through the evening, and access to RIU Party events at nearby Riu Caribe. Or you can lean into quiet — a Renova Spa treatment, a shaded lounger, and the sound of the surf.

Food is at the heart of the Ventura rhythm: an international buffet, specialty Asian, Italian and Mexican restaurants, a beachfront steakhouse, and six bars placed where you’ll want them most. The brand’s familiar touches remain, from in-room liquor dispensers to the ease of all-day dining.

Riu Ventura is priced to invite a range of travelers: doubles with lateral sea views starting around $368 per night, and swim-up suites — a touch of indulgence — from $445.

When the doors open this December, Riu Ventura will become Riu’s sixth resort in Cancun proper and its 23rd in Mexico, a milestone that continues the company’s expansion in the region. For travelers, it’s another way to step into the easy cadence of a Riu holiday — now with a new view of Playa Delfines.
