This Is the Tastiest Week of the Year in the British Virgin Islands

By: Guy Britton - June 5, 2025 - 1:26 pm

You don’t just eat in the British Virgin Islands. You taste the islands. You chase flavor across hillsides, across dockside bars, across candlelit courtyards and barefoot beach cafés.

And from June 28 to July 5, the BVI is turning up the heat for Restaurant Week, a weeklong culinary celebration set across Tortola, with more than 30 restaurants offering prix fixe menus, daily themes, and exclusive perks.

It’s the centerpiece of the year-round BVI Food Fête, but this week? This week is different. This is for the food lovers, the flavor chasers, the travelers who come hungry and leave full of stories.

The Flavor Trail

The list reads like a food lover’s itinerary. BananaKeet Café, Sugar Mill, The Watering Hole, Myett’s, Fantasia by Giorgio’s, and Tradewinds Mexican Grill. From beach shacks to fine dining, sushi to seafood, this is the full BVI spectrum—served one plate at a time.

It starts in the morning with local coffee at Beans Coffee BVI, maybe a breakfast sandwich from D’Best Cup. Midday, you could be at Rhymers Beach Hotel, where the breeze carries the scent of grilled fish and sea salt. And by dinner, you’re poolside at Seven at the Pier with a cocktail and a sunset that slows time.

There are no tickets to buy. Just show up at any participating restaurant, explore the special menus, and taste what the island is cooking.

It’s About the Culture

BVI Restaurant Week isn’t just a celebration of food—it’s a celebration of the people behind the plates. The chefs. The bartenders. The teams who turn local ingredients into unforgettable meals.

From Randy at Sugar Mill to Omar’s, this is where local pride meets culinary creativity. You’re not just eating. You’re connecting. You’re tasting the identity of the islands—spiced, grilled, stewed, and served with rum punch and a smile.

The Details

Restaurant Week runs June 28–July 5, 2025 across Tortola, BVI. Participating restaurants offer special fixed-price menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

It’s the perfect time to restaurant-hop through the island or settle into a favorite spot and explore a different dish each day.
