This Caribbean Beach Resort Is Now Officially a Hilton 

Since it opened back in 2019, it’s been as cool and forward-thinking a hotel as there is on the island of Bonaire. From its magnesium pool to its villas to its beach bar, Delfins Beach Resort remains one  of our favorite stays on the island. And did we mention it’s the home of the Brass Boer? 

But now Delfins has a new brand: Hilton, which officially took over on Tuesday with its Tapestry Collection brand. 

It’s a big change for the hotel and a big boost for the island, thanks to Hilton’s massive loyalty network and the inarguable impact of having a major American brand on the destination. (Bonaire had previously had a Courtyard by Marriott that was for decades the only US brand on the island). 

The 148-room resort has everything from an on-site dive shop to a high-tech gym and a spa. It’s also home to a large ballroom and meeting space, too.

It’s been a rather big month for Bonaire, which has been seeing an instant boom in travel in the last month since JetBlue debuted its first-ever flights to the island – and now a new brand, too. 

You can’t find availability on the Delfins site or Hilton for the next few weeks. If you’re heading to Bonaire and want a stay, you still can’t beat the lovely Harbour Village Beach Club resort, the island’s top luxury hotel.

Are you heading to Bonaire? American Airlines just ramped up its Miami-Bonaire flights to daily nonstop service, and JetBlue is notably now flying to the island out of the New York market.

So what about cost?

Miami-Bonaire service will cost you about $847 in the second week of January, according to Google Flights. 

On JetBlue, expect to pay about $368.42 for a roundtrip flight, a very good price right now for anywhere in the Caribbean. 

You can also fly to Bonaire out of Houston on United (about $652 roundtrip) and out of Atlanta on Delta (about $667, depending on when you book).
