Aruba Tourism Is Sizzling Right Now

From the cultural renaissance in San Nicolas to the emergent energy of downtown Oranjestad, Aruba has never been hotter. 

The Dutch Caribbean island has been one of the most popular destinations in the hemisphere since the pandemic, and that continues to be the case, according to new data from analytics firm ForwardKeys. 

International arrivals to Aruba are up by 20 percent in the first half of 2024, according to a new report from ForwardKeys.

That’s one of the highest arrival growth rates of any Caribbean destination, according to an analysis by Caribbean Journal. 

The strong numbers come as Aruba continues to see new airlift (both from North America and the increasingly-significant South American market) and, more notably, prepares to welcome two of its most-anticipated hotels in years: the soon-to-debut St. Regis Aruba and the first-ever Iberostar in the Dutch Caribbean, an adults-only, EP resort called JOIA ARUBA by Iberostar. 

The report was the product of an alliance between ForwardKeys and the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association.
