Tipsy Scoop Is Coming to Downtown Nassau

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - March 12, 2024

Popular liquor-infused ice cream shop Tipsy Scoop is opening its first-ever international location in The Bahamas next month.

Tipsy Scoop, which has three locations in New York State and another in Washington, DC, is opening its Bahamian location in Calpyso House in downtown Nassau, right across from the British Colonial hotel.

The company’s famous “barlours” ofer up flavors like Dark Chocolate Whiskey Salted Carmel and Mango Margarita Sorbet, all of which are infused with alcohol.

The Bahamian location will include a special Bahama Mama flavor.

The Nassau location will include a special flavor called Bahana Mama, named after the country’s famous cocktail, with coconut rum, fresh orange, pineapple juice and grenadine.

The company’s Bahamian launch included participating in this week’s Nassau Paradise Island Wine and Food Festival at Atlantis Paradise Island.

The location’s owners Nassau natives Doneth and Mykul Cartwright.

It’s not the only high-end ice cream shop of its kind in Nassau, though: the capital is home to two locations of Graycliff’s popular Chocotini, which has both kid and adult-friendly versions of its potable desserts.
