How to Take a “Barbie” Vacation to The Bahamas

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - March 7, 2024

Barbie been the biggest cinematic event of the last year, and Barbie-mania continues to take over the popular consciousness.

Now, Barbie is coming to The Bahamas.

Mattel has partnered with the Atlantis Paradise Island resort to launch a special “Barbie Bahamas Beach Vacation: Where Atlantis Dreams Come True,” which will include a host of special Barbie-themed experiences.

The Barbie program is centered at Atlantis’ The Royal, with several immersive playsets, activity stations and themed Barbie doll boxes for the perfect photo op. That’s along with a special “pink carpet,” and a Barbie ball pit.

Atlantis will also offer special beachside Barbie-themed rooms and cabanas, with everything from pink pillows to customized lounge chairs.

The Coral’s Sun & Ice cafe will be converted into a Barbie culinary experience, with a Barbie menu and special cocktails and desserts.

Atlantis’ Kids Adventures will be offering special cooking classes and activations with a dose of pink.

That’s along with Barbie movie-night programming at the pool and in the Atlantis theater.

“Atlantis Paradise Island’s collaboration with the global toy and entertainment company Mattel adds to the resort’s 25-year history in providing world-class, experiential entertainment,” said Audrey Oswell, President and Managing Director, Atlantis Paradise Island in a statement. “What makes the Barbie Bahamas Beach Vacation: Where Atlantis Dreams Come True special, is that it is meant to be enjoyed by all generations and will offer a range of accessible experiences. We are a resort that has a long history of delivering unforgettable experiences to our guests, and firsts to The Bahamas. Barbie fits that bill.”

The program begins right after Memorial Day, running through the summer.
