Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas Arrives in Miami

Royal Caribbean’s massive new Icon of the Seas cruise ship has arrived in Miami ahead of its Caribbean launch. 

Icon, the largest cruise ship in the world,  will begin its first Caribbean cruise on Jan. 27. 

The ship, which will include eight discrete “neighborhoods,” will feature everything from six waterslides to seven pools to the “first suspended infinity pool at sea.”

That’s along with more than 40 restaurants, bars and lounges, a theater; and an adults-only retreat, among other inclusions. 

Icon of the Seas will be sailing a series of seven-night itineraries to both the Eastern and Western Caribbean, each of which includes a stop at the brand’s private island in The Bahamas, Perfect Day at CocoCay. 

The private island will soon be debuting its new adults-only destination called Hideaway Beach, which includes a private beach and cabanas, 

The 20-deck ship has capacity for around 5,600 passengers.
