In a significant boost for an island that has been booming in 2023, Delta Air Lines has officially relaunched nonstop service to Curacao.

It’s been nearly 14 years since Delta last served Curacao, and now the carrier is back, with once-weekly service between Atlanta and Curacao operating on Saturdays.

Delta is the only carrier operating flights between Atlanta and Curacao.

The company is using Boeing 737-800 aircraft on the route, with first class, Delta Comfort+ seats and traditional main cabin seats.

The Dutch Caribbean island has been experience a full-fledged tourism renaissance, with record-breaking tourism arrivals that have already topped 500,000 so far in 2023.

The rebirth of the island’s tourism, particularly out of the United States, largely kicked off in the summer of 2022, when Sandals Resorts International opened its first-ever resort in Curacao.

That almost immediately led to a surge in arrivals from the United States, a trend that has not slowed down since.

It doesn’t hurt that Curacao has had one of the hottest hotel pipelines in the Caribbean in recent years, particularly in the all-popular all-inclusive space, drawing new hotels from brands like Zoetry, Dreams, Sandals, Hilton and Wyndham, among others.

That includes the new Rif at Mangrove Beach, Corendon Curacao All-Inclusive, which just opened its doors this past week as part of the Curio Collection by Hilton.

Are you planning a vacation to Curacao? Don’t miss the island’s colorful, historic capital, Willemstad, where you can try everything from Green Rum to walking on a floating bridge. But while Curacao’s cosmopolitan center is well known, many travelers may not know about the island’s copious beaches (here are seven of our favorites) to its more than 70 dive sites.

In other words, Curacao is a remarkably diverse, vibrant Caribbean getaway, and it’s only getting easier to get there.
