The United Kingdom has long been the biggest source market for travel to Barbados, and now travelers from the UK are getting another option to fly to the Caribbean island.

Fast-growing Norse Atlantic Airways has commenced flights between London Gatwick and Barbados’ Grantley Adams International Airport.

The new route is operating up to five times per week, with fares starting at £449 round trip, according to the company.

Norse Atlantic Airways is flying the route on Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft with main and premium cabins. The latter includes 43 inches of seat pitch and 12 inches of recline.

The carrier also has three different fare classes: light, classic and “flextra,” with the latter offering the maximum baggage allowance and two meal services, among other inclusions.

It’s a significant new flight option for UK travelers beyond traditional carriers like Virgin Atlantic and British Airways.
