Virgin Atlantic Just Launched Its First-Ever Turks and Caicos Flights

By: Alexander Britell - November 4, 2023

It’s one of the hottest travel destinations in all of the wider Caribbean – and now the Turks and Caicos Islands has a major new connection from the United Kingdom.

Air carrier Virgin Atlantic has officially kicked off its first-ever flights between London and Providenciales, Turks and Caicos.

The new service, which began Nov. 4, is operating between London Heathrow and Turks and Caicos.

From now through April 1, 2024, the flights will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Between April 2, 2024 and Oct. 24, 2024, Virgin will operate the flights on Tuesdays and Thursdays, according to the company’s Web site.

Virgin is operating the flights on its Boeing 787-9 aircraft with 31 Upper Class seats, 35 premium seats and 192 seats across Economy Delight, Classic and Light categories.

It’s a significant new gateway for Turks and Caicos, which has emerged from the pandemic as one of the most sought-after getaways in the Caribbean, and arguably the most in-demand destination for high-net-worth travelers.

That includes demand for celebrated resorts like the Shore Club on Long Bay, the Palms and the new Ritz-Carlton, Turks and Caicos, boutique resorts like Point Grace and private-island retreats like Parrot Cay and Pine Cay, among others.

The new route will be operating year round, according to Virgin.
