Carnival Cruise Line has revealed the name for its planned destination in Grand Bahama: Celebration Key.

The new destination, the first-ever port destination exclusively designed for Carnival Cruise Line guests, will be set on a one-mile-long stretch of beach in Grand Bahama.

The company is opening itineraries late next month for cruises that call on the destination.

“We are working very closely with the Government of The Bahamas and the Grand Bahama Port Authority to ensure that we are highlighting the best of Grand Bahama and its culture, combined with fun like only Carnival can provide,” said Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy. “Invoking the natural beauty of Grand Bahama, every day at Celebration Key will be a celebration of our guests’ own making with a variety of experiences and something for everyone.”

Celebration Key will have retail, food and beverage options operated by Bahamians; it will be able to accommodate up to two of Carnival’s Excel-class ships simultaneously.

The project broke ground in May 2022, with construction now underway.

The first cruises calling on Celebration Key will be in July 2025.
