Margaritaville’s New Caribbean All-Inclusive Is Opening in June

By: Alexander Britell - April 17, 2023

Margaritaville is opening another new all-inclusive resort in partnership with Karisma Hotels and Resorts in June.

The new Margaritaville Island Reserve by Karisma Riviera Maya is officially opening its doors on June 1, according to Karisma.

It will be the third Margaritaville Island Reserve in the Caribbean, joining similar Island Reserve all-inclusive resorts in both the Riviera Cancun and Cap Cana, Dominican Republic.

Most notably, the Mexican Caribbean property will be the first Island Reserve that is a true adults-only resort.

So what do you need to know?

The new Riviera Maya resort will have several firsts: a Landshark Brewery right on the beach; new room categories and new dining concepts like Far Side of the World and Salted Rim.

The resort will have a total of 355 suites, along with five eateries, four bars, three pools and a 10,000-square-foot destination spa.

Other amenities include 24-hour room service, weekly events from pickleball tournaments to musical and a rooftop wedding terrace.

The all-suite resort will have 13 different room categories, from king or queen “Paradise Rooms” to swim-up suites to the Coral Reefer Signature Suite.

That includes three different kinds of swim-up suites, one of the most popular accommodations in the broader Caribbean right now: oceanfront paradise swim-up studio suites (which include access to a private infinity-edge pool), luxury paradise swim-up suites, which access the main pool; and king paradise swim-up suites, which also directly access the main pool.

The new Island Reserve resort also be the second Margaritaville-branded resort to open in the Caribbean this year, following last month’s debut of the first-ever Margaritaville resort in Belize

Margaritaville and Karisma first launched their all-inclusive alliance back in 2019.
