Antigua and Barbuda Wellness Month Is In Full Swing

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - January 9, 2023

The Caribbean’s top wellness month is in full swing in Antigua and Barbuda.

From “Soca-robix” to plant-based brunch, the twin-island destination is celebrating its full spectrum of wellness experiences throughout the month of January.

The month began with a mocktail-making session with the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism authority: a mix of coconut water, pomegranate juice and other ingredients perfect for Dry January.

And then there’s Socarobix,, a free experience with fitness expert Tony “Tiger” Jacobs of Antigua’s Tiger Fitness, with the ultimate beach workout on Dickenson Bay Beach on Jan. 13 at 5PM.

A major public hike is taking place at a new trail near Rendezvous Beach on Jan. 14, with a 5:30 AM kickoff led by Wellness Weekend Ambassador Tricia Greenaway and Wadadli Trailblazers.

The month also features a popular Zumba and Brunch with Celene Senhouse and Chef Jermaine ‘Bushbungalow’ Jonas, with Zumba instructor Celene Senhouse and Bushbungalow teaming up fo a Zumba class followed by a farm-to-table, plant-based lunch at Colesome Farm on Jan. 29.

This year’s Wellness Month also showcases a new Meditation Circle at the Antigua Vintage Tea House, meeting every Sunday for the rest of the year that includes a guided meditation with King Jaheali followed by refreshments including local teas and vegan desserts.
