Royalton Nears Debut of New Riviera Cancun Resort

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - November 27, 2022

Royalton will soon debut its new all-inclusive resort on the Riviera Cancun, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun is in the “finishing touches” stage ahead of its opening next month, according to parent company Blue Diamond Resorts.

The massive resort will be home to 1,005 rooms, along with 12 restaurants and 10 bars.

That will include a pair of new additions to the Royalton brand: Smoke, a southern-style barbecue restaurant, and The Cave, a global eatery with an ambience in the style of underground lakes and caverns.

Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun will also have the brand’s popular Chef’s Table experience, joined by a new space called The Winery featuring wine, mezcal and tequila in a 7-course tasting dinner.

That will be joined by a new “mixology bar” called Shaken.

The Riviera Cancun, set between Cancun and Playa del Carmen, has seen a wave of new development in recent years, centered around the popular fishing village of Puerto Morelos.

“Everything is ready to soon start receiving guests,” the resort said.
