How to Escape to St Kitts This Winter, For Less

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - November 14, 2022 - 5:39 pm

It’s one of the buzziest destinations in the Caribbean right now, and the island of St Kitts is capitalizing with a major new “winter escape” promotion.

The program, the product of a partnership with seven high-end resorts and hotels on the island, means travelers can “relax, explore and indulge in St Kitts” for less.

Whether you’re looking for a boutique stay at the new Sunset Reef or an affordable, family-friendly getaway to the Royal St Kitts hotel, the program has something for every different kind of traveler.

“Our island-wide offers and seasonal discounts are always something to sing about, and we are excited because this year’s Winter Escape Promotion is the grandest one yet,” said Ellison “Tommy” Thompson, CEO of the St Kitts Tourism Authority. We are thrilled to offer deals at some of our island’s greatest establishments in the hopes of expanding tourism and sharing the beauty of St. Kitts with new guests this winter season.”

The program is focused on longer stays, meaning four to seven nights, officials say.

“Tourism experiences in St. Kitts are seemingly endless, and there is no shortage of activities for travelers to engage in this winter,” Thompson tells Caribbean Journal. “St. Kitts provides the perfect backdrop for an envious winter getaway, from zip-line thrills and ATV adventures to cultural discoveries and culinary delights.”

And thanks to a partnership with the Makana Ferry, visitors to St Kitts can take day trips to nearby islands like St Maarten, Statia and Saba, among others.

Participating hotels include Belle Mont Farm, Park Hyatt, the St Kitts Marriott, the Royal St Kitts, Timothy Beach, Sunset Reef and Sugar Bay.

All of the hotels are offering at least one complimentary night on the island.

The program applies between Jan. 3 and April 16, 2023, with the reservations window through April 13, 2023.
