American Airlines is adding a pair of new routes to Mexico this winter, Caribbean Journal has learned.

In November, the world’s largest airline will add new routes between New York and both Mexico City and Monterrey.

The new routes come after American earlier this year kicked off its first-ever service between Austin and the island of Cozumel on Mexico’s Caribbean coast.

American continues to see record growth in Mexico, the company said.

Last year, American saw capacity in Mexico grow by more than 40 percent compared to 2019.

American is now in its 80th year of operating flights to Mexico.
