By: Caribbean Journal Staff - August 2, 2022 - 3:34 pm

Playa Hotels and Resorts is taking over management of the Seadust Cancun Family Resort, an all-inclusive on the Caribbean coast of Mexico.

Playa will be managing all operations, sales and marketing of the property.

The 502-room Seadust, set in the heart of the Cancun Hotel Zone, has 10 restaurant and bars, a fitness center and a holistic spa, among other amenities.

“We are thrilled to welcome Seadust Cancun Family Resort to the Playa family,” said Fernando Mulet, Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of Playa Hotels & Resorts. “Cancun is a competitive market with a high barrier of entry and often limited opportunity for less seasoned operators. The execution of this management agreement exemplifies Playa’s proficiency as a management company and is further evidence of the value and profitability that only Playa’s business model and expertise can deliver.”

Playa’s growing all-inclusive portfolio includes resorts by Hyatt, Hilton, Wyndham and, most recently, Marriott’s Luxury Collection.
