The Bahamas: an archipelago of honeymoon moods

Few places offer a honeymoon as customizable as The Bahamas, an archipelago where the choice of island becomes the entire personality of the trip. Each one answers a different version of romance.

On chic Harbour Island, the legendary pink sand draws couples to Pink Sands, the storied hideaway that helped define barefoot Bahamian glamour, and to The Dunmore, an intimate, clubby retreat steps from the beach. This is the islands at their most fashionable and most romantic.

Over on Eleuthera, Cape Eleuthera offers a quieter, more elemental escape on the island’s southern point, all big skies and empty water. Couples chasing a true beachy escape go further still, to Cat Island and the laid-back Rollezz Villas Beach Resort, where the sand runs for miles and almost no one else is on it.

Back on Paradise Island, The Cove at Atlantis delivers grown-up resort glamour with an adults-only pool that’s one of the great scenes in the Caribbean (and easy energy), while Bimini, nearest the Florida coast, suits a fast, spontaneous romantic getaway.
