The Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit Resort Just Renovated 242 Suites in a $30 Million Project
The Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit has completed a $30 million renovation of its Master, Parlor, and Grand Terrace suites, the resort announced. The project was carried out over 12 months and concluded late last month.
The renovation covered the resort’s largest accommodations, all measuring more than 1,000 square feet, and focused on updating finishes, layouts, and in-room systems. The redesign introduces lighter interiors and a more contemporary look, replacing darker tones with a neutral color scheme built around beige, cream, sand, and wood finishes, with limited green accents drawn from the surrounding landscape.
According to the resort, materials used throughout the suites include stone surfaces, wood paneling, textured upholstery, and natural fabrics. Regional suppliers contributed textiles and woodwork as part of an effort to incorporate local craftsmanship into the updated spaces. Backlit wall elements and stone detailing were added as design features.
The company said sustainability measures were incorporated during the renovation, including energy-efficient lighting, durable materials intended to reduce replacement cycles, and finishes selected for lower environmental impact.
Beyond design changes, the renovation included functional upgrades such as revised seating layouts, new furniture, updated bedding, and increased storage. Tech updates include improved lighting controls and enhanced in-room connectivity for guest devices.
Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit’s all-inclusive rates currently start at $533 per adult, based on double occupancy. That gives you accommodations, à la carte dining at the resort’s restaurants, premium beverages, 24-hour in-suite service, taxes, and gratuities.
