Saint Lucia Is Getting a Luxe New Villa Resort With Plunge Pools and Ocean Views — On the Island’s Best Beach

Reduit Beach has long been the heart of tourism in Saint Lucia — a wide, golden shoreline lined with restaurants, water sports operators and some of the island’s most popular hotels. It’s also where Bay Gardens Resorts, one of Saint Lucia’s most successful family-owned hotel groups, is launching its newest property.
Opening in February 2026, Sapphire Sands Villas will bring a new style of beachfront stay to Rodney Bay Village. The small villa retreat sits directly on Reduit Beach, placing guests on one of the island’s most recognizable stretches of sand, with calm waters and panoramic views of Pigeon Island.
The property will feature nine three-bedroom villas (27 keys), which can be configured into one-, two- or three-bedroom accommodations. Each villa has a fully equipped kitchen, contemporary interiors, private balconies and sweeping ocean views. Select ground-floor villas include plunge pools just steps from the sand.
The idea is to offer more space and flexibility than a traditional resort, with the amenities and service of a boutique property.
It’s one of the biggest trends in Caribbean hospitality – the residential resort — and it’s something that hasn’t really existed in Saint Lucia until now. That’s what makes us so excited about it.

“We look forward to welcoming guests to a new kind of Bay Gardens experience at Sapphire Sands Villas, one that is relaxed and deeply connected to the beauty of Saint Lucia,” said Daryl Aaron, general manager. “Our vision is to create a place where guests feel at home, enjoy warm island hospitality, and build memories that last long after their visit.”
Bay Gardens Resorts has been family owned and operated for nearly three decades, growing from a single hotel into a leading Saint Lucian hospitality group. Its portfolio includes Bay Gardens Beach Resort, Bay Gardens Inn, Bay Gardens Hotel, Water’s Edge Villas, and Marina Haven, all located in and around Rodney Bay.
The new Sapphire Sands project is a natural next step for the group, blending its signature service with a higher-end residential experience directly on the beach.
The retreat’s signature restaurant, Kimchi & Kalaloo, will serve Asian-Caribbean fusion cuisine with oceanfront views, highlighting fresh seafood and Saint Lucia’s only authentic Korean barbecue experience.
Wellness offerings will include sunrise yoga in an open-air pavilion, a boutique spa with six treatment rooms, and a modern fitness center.
Families will have access to the Coral Kidz Club for children ages 4–12 and unlimited entry to Splash Island Waterpark, the island’s only open-water inflatable park. Guests can also enjoy paddleboarding, kayaking, and Hobie Cat sailing, with babysitting services available.
Through Bay Gardens’ “Stay at 1, Play at 5” program, guests can use the pools, dining and entertainment options at the group’s sister properties throughout Rodney Bay.
Officials at Bay Gardens told me that Sapphire Sands Villas is offering up to 25 percent off all room categories for early bookings made through Jan. 31, 2026, valid for stays from Feb. 1 through May 7, 2026.
You can book room sat Sapphire Sands for as low as $514 per night in the end of January right now, according to the resort’s booking engine.
Sapphire Sands Villas is set on Reduit Beach in Rodney Bay Village, about a 90-minute drive from Hewanorra International Airport in the island’s south. Most major U.S. gateways offer nonstop flights to Saint Lucia, including New York, Miami, Atlanta and Charlotte. Regional connections are also available into George F. L. Charles Airport in Castries, which is a 20-minute drive from Rodney Bay. Taxis and private transfers are readily available at both airports.
