These Are the Winners of the 2025 Bahamas Travel and Sustainability Awards

For its third consecutive year, the Bahamas Travel and Sustainability Awards, hosted by Caribbean Journal, recently announced their 2025 winners. The annual awards recognise and celebrate Bahamian stakeholders, industry partners and leaders across 24 categories from lodging and gastronomy to individual achievement.

The Bahamas, which welcomed a record-breaking 11.22 million international visitors in 2024, continues to invest in sustainable tourism as the industry grows across the islands. From coral reef conservation efforts to eco-conscious properties, the winners represent the people and projects that make the archipelago a world-class destination.

“The continual growth of tourism in The Bahamas is a testament not only to the beauty of islands and the warmth of our people, but also our commitment to building a responsible and resilient sector,” said The Honourable I. Chester Cooper, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments & Aviation. “Prioritizing sustainability is vital to preserving the destination we wish to share with the world, and we are proud to honour those who lead by example, ensuring that The Bahamas remains as extraordinary tomorrow as it is today.”

Voted upon by nearly 50,000 visitors, industry professionals and local Bahamians, the winners of Caribbean Journal’s 2025 Bahamas Travel and Sustainability Awards are:

  • Best All-Inclusive Resort in The Bahamas – Sandals Royal Bahamian
  • Sustainable Hotel of the Year – Atlantis Paradise Island
  • Sustainable Destination of the Year – Exuma
  • Best Airline in The Bahamas – Bahamasair
  • Best Marina in The Bahamas – Valentines, Harbour Island

  • Best People to People Host/Hostess – Katherina and Victor Cooper – Exuma

  • Community Tourism Award – Nassau Straw Market

  • Bahamas Hotel Executive of the Year – Audrey Oswell, Atlantis Paradise Island

  • Best Bartender in The Bahamas – Marv Cunningham
