Tradewind Aviation has tapped professional golfer Darren Clarke as its newest brand ambassador, further strengthening its ties to The Bahamas.

Clarke, who makes his home at The Abaco Club on Winding Bay, will represent the luxury aviation brand across its growing private charter and scheduled service network in the islands. Beginning this summer, Clarke will serve as the face of Tradewind’s operations, particularly on the popular Marsh Harbour–Florida routes.

“Traveling as a professional golfer is sometimes challenging with delays and airline schedules, so thanks to my great relationship with Tradewind Aviation, I’m able to return home without issue as time is precious,” Clarke said. “The Tradewind professional team is amongst the finest in private aviation, and I’m thrilled to have them as a part of my team… if you don’t fly Tradewind, you should be!”

A Champion in Residence

One of the most celebrated golfers of his generation, Clarke is best known for his 2011 Open Championship victory at Royal St. George’s and his two World Golf Championships titles, including a dramatic 2000 Match Play win over Tiger Woods. With more than 20 career victories worldwide, Clarke has also competed in five Ryder Cups and captained the European team in 2016. Most recently, he added the 2022 Senior Open Championship to his resume and continues to play on the PGA TOUR Champions.

When he’s not competing, Clarke can often be found in The Abacos, training, hosting golf events, or enjoying the region’s sportfishing and saltwater flats fly fishing. His connection to the islands makes him a natural fit for Tradewind’s brand.

Expanding Service in The Bahamas

The partnership comes as Tradewind expands its Bahamian footprint. This December, the airline will launch new scheduled service to Nassau from Stuart, Florida, and debut operations out of Fort Lauderdale, joining existing routes from Stuart to Marsh Harbour and North Eleuthera.

Beginning Dec. 11, 2025, Tradewind will operate multiple daily flights, five days a week, connecting key Florida gateways with Marsh Harbour, North Eleuthera, and Nassau.

Founded in 2001, Tradewind Aviation has become an industry leader in premium private aviation, operating a fleet of Pilatus PC-12 aircraft from bases in Connecticut, New York, Florida, and Puerto Rico.

For Clarke, the partnership reflects a shared ethos: excellence, accessibility, and seamless travel. For Tradewind, it’s a high-profile endorsement from one of the game’s most respected names — and a further step in making luxury aviation synonymous with The Bahamas.
