New suites are coming to one of Grenada's top luxury hotels.

The Calabash Hotel in Grenada has broken ground on a new collection of luxury suites — the first new accommodations added to the resort in 35 years.

Just hours after closing to guests at the end of June, construction crews began work on the highly anticipated project, marking a new chapter for one of Grenada’s most celebrated hotels.

Slated for completion in early 2026, the expansion will introduce four Superior Deluxe Suites and two Hillside Penthouse Suites. The new accommodations will feature spacious living and bedroom areas, double-sink bathrooms with walk-in showers and freestanding tubs, and private patios that open onto lush tropical gardens.

The Hillside Penthouses will offer a more secluded experience, set above the main property with sweeping views and elevated privacy.

The project underscores the Calabash’s commitment to evolving its luxury offering while preserving the intimate, family-run spirit that has defined the hotel for decades.

The hotel is one of just a handful of Relais & Chateaux properties in the Caribbean.
