Royal Caribbean’s Next Big Cruise Ship Now Has a Name, With Plans for a November 2026 Debut

By: Guy Britton - February 21, 2025 - 11:45 am

Royal Caribbean’s next big cruise ship now has a name, Caribbean Journal has learned.

It’s called Legend of the Seas, and it will be making its first Caribbean sailings in the fall of 2026 as the next member of the brand’s Icon class of cruise ships.

Legend will be sailing six-night Western Caribbean itineraries and eight-night Southern Caribbean itineraries.

Royal says the ship will have eight of its famous “neighborhoods,” with over 40 different food and beverage concepts.

That’s along with Royal’s massive Category 6 waterpark, an adults-only section called Hideaway with its own infinity pool; and a “part skywalk, part ropes course” called Crown’s Edge.

As with its three previous debuts, Legend of the Seas will be powered by liquefied natural gas.

Booking is now live for Legend sailings. The ship will be homeporting in Fort Lauderdale.

You can find November 2026 sailings starting at $1,948 per person, according to the company’s website. That Nov. 22 voyage will visit Royal’s Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas; Falmouth, Jamaica; and Labadee, Haiti.

For an ocean-view room, the rate goes up to $2,155 per person. For a balcony, the price starts at $2,330 per person.
