There’s a New Beach Club in Exuma, the Coconut Club — And You Can Only Get There By Boat
Stocking Island is different. The little island off the coast of George Town in Exuma has some of the most brilliant, sparkling water you’ll ever see — met on land by shimmering white sand beach. It’s a destination that has been home to several popular beach spots, from Peace ’n Plenty’s outpost to the famous Chat ’n Chill. And now there’s another option.
It’s called the Coconut Club, and it’s opening its doors this week on Stocking Island, replete with food, beverages, beach activities, lounge chairs and fish tacos.
You can only get there by boat, whether by seaplane, private boat or water taxi, making it a secluded, rarefied Bahamian oasis.
Even better? The Club has its own water taxi from George Town Harbour, and you can WhatsApp them for a pickup anywhere in the harbor.
So what’s on the menu? Think fresh fish, fresh lobster, a creative menu of cocktails (go for the Exuma take on Nassau’s legendary Sky Juice called “El Ting Ting”) and even a “popsicle of the day” made from local fruit.
It’s open every day from 11 AM to 7 PM in the heart of Elizabeth Harbor on Stocking.
