A New Food and Wine Festival in the Dominican Republic

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - August 4, 2023

The Dominican Republic’s top luxury resort is launching an exciting new culinary event: the inaugural Casa de Campo Food and Wine Festival.

The festival, held in partnership with golfing country club collection Invited, will be held from Oct. 17-22 at the signature La Romana resort.

The event will include two chefs like Hubert Keller and Akira Back, along with chefs and mixologists from Invited.

It will also put the spotlight on the resort’s new Premier Club resort-within-a-resort, including the Dominican Republic’s newly-launched wellness destination.

“The Dominican Republic is often credited as having the best beaches, best golf, and best amenities in the world, but our diverse and inspiring culinary scene can get overshadowed for those who haven’t yet experienced the unique flavors of the island for themselves. We wanted to create a comprehensive event for our guests to enjoy all this destination has to offer in the culinary realm and let our talent truly shine,” said Jason Kycek, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Casa de Campo Resort and Villas.”

The five-day event will include dinners, cooking competitions and multiple sessions of the “Grand Tasting Pavilion.”

“Casa de Campo is an amazing destination resort with fantastic epicurean offerings from comfort foods to sophisticated, gourmet cuisine,” said Sean DiCicco, Invited’s Senior Vice President of Food & Beverage Operations, “the opportunity for attendees to immerse themselves in all the resort has to offer and enjoy unique dining experiences, demonstrations and social functions that showcase some of Invited’s most talented chefs and mixologists working alongside Casa de Campo’s talented culinary team will be truly special.  Through our partnership, we’re creating an epicurean experience that will be second to none.”

Attendees can book either three or five-day packages that include other activities, from horseback riding to golf to boat trips to Catalina Island.

“In partnership with Invited and featuring some of today’s hottest chefs in the industry, our inaugural Food & Wine Festival will immerse attendees in local and international cuisine in a fresh and exciting way,” Kycek said.

The event is part of a full fall lineup at the property, which includes an upcoming concert by crooner Michael Buble.
