Dominican Republic-based airline Skyhigh Dominicana is adding more flights between Miami and the Dominican Republic, Caribbean Journal has learned. The low-cost carrier is planning to ramp-up service between Miami International Airport and Punta Cana.

The expanded service will mean three weekly nonstop flights between Miami and Punta Cana.

That route will be operating on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays, according to the carrier.

“With this important addition, Sky High is determined to continue expanding the possibilities of promoting tourist destinations,” said Cesarina Beauchamp, commercial director for Skyhigh Dominicana.

The expansion comes after Skyhigh added new routes earlier this year between the Dominican Republic and both St Croix and St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands.
