Frontier Airlines Just Added Another New Caribbean Route

By: Alexander Britell - June 14, 2023

Frontier Airlines has officially launched new nonstop service between Orlando International Airport and St Maarten’s Princess Juliana International Airport.

The ultra-low-cost carrier is continuing its regional expansion with another new nonstop route in the Northern Caribbean.

Frontier’s Orlando-St Maarten service, which began operating this week, is operating once weekly on Saturdays.

The carrier has kicked off the route with a $99 one-way fare.

Orlando has become an increasingly important hub for Caribbean travel, particularly to destinations like Puerto Rico and The Bahamas.

“Orlando is one of Frontier’s largest bases, and we’re thrilled to offer even more service from Central Florida, particularly to this exciting Caribbean destination,” said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president of commercial at Frontier Airlines. “Our commitment to Orlando means even more travel options for Floridians. St. Maarten is known for its stunning beaches and tropical island vibe.”

The service will be another boon for the island, particularly for the French side, which has become the epicenter of tourism activity on the island, from its world-class gastronomy to a growing, impressive collection of hotels, from classic beach resorts like the Grand Case Beach Club to the luxe La Samanna to new retreats like the just-debuted Martin Hotel.

That has only added to the French side’s position as one of the culinary capitals of the Caribbean, centered around the vibrant town of Grand Case, home to the single-largest concentration of fine-dining restaurants anywhere in the Caribbean region.
