Playa Just Added Another All-Inclusive Resort in Cancun

By: Alexander Britell - March 2, 2023

Playa Hotels and Resorts has added another all-inclusive resort to its portfolio in the Mexican Caribbean hotspot of Cancun.

The fast-expanding all-inclusive resort company has officially taken over management of the Seadust Cancun Family Resort, set in the popular Hotel Zone of Cancun, Mexico.

“We are pleased to welcome Seadust Cancun to Playa’s premier roster of managed all-inclusive resorts,” the company said in a statement.

Playa Hotels and Resorts will lead all operations, sales and marketing of the beach hotel, which becomes the 23rd property in its broader Caribbean-Mexico collection.

The family-friendly all-inclusive resort has a total of 502 rooms, along with 10 eateries and bars, a fitness center and a spa.

Notably, all of the rooms at the resort are suites, ranging from standard king or doubles to all the way to the Gran Master Suites, all designed with families and larger groups in mind.

Playa has maintained Seadust’s culinary offering, which was long one of the most popular features at the resort, from international eateries like Samurai and Florencia to the Mexican-inspired El Maguey, which had completed a full transformation just before the onset of the pandemic.

Other amenities at the beach resort include a waterpark, a mini-golf course, a biplane and a cinema-style movie theater.

The relaunch of Seadust Cancun follows Playa’s recent debut of a pair of all-inclusive resorts under the Jewel brand, both of which opened in the Dominican Republic at the beginning of this year.

Playa’s other Cancun all-inclusive resorts include the Wyndham Alltra Cancun and both the family-friendly Hyatt Ziva and the adults-only Hyatt Zilara resorts in Cancun.

The company continues to grow its all-inclusive presence in the region, cementing its position as one of the top all-inclusive owners and operators in the wider Caribbean.
