The USVI’s Lovango Resort Is Expanding

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - December 1, 2022

The Caribbean’s newest private-island destination is getting bigger.

The Lovango Resort and Beach Club, set on Lovango Cay just off the coast of St John, is set to reopen to overnight guests next months for its second season.

The resort, set on 45 acres in the heart of the US Virgin Islands, has announced several new additions for the 2022-2023 season.

The resort also includes a collection of “treehouses.”

That includes the addition of six brand-new glamping tents designed by Michael Kramer of Michael Thomas & CO; the tents range from 800 to 1,000 square feet, with outdoor showers and unrivaled views of the sea.

The resort is also adding a new Treetops Lounge for breakfast, afternoon drinks and yoga, along with an expanded Lovango Village. The latter will include a new Loving Social event every Sunday, and the debut of the Sandbar, with wood-fired flatbreads, gourmet bowls and signature cocktails.

That joins the resort’s existing treehouses, glamping tents and luxury villa, shopping village and oceanfront beach club.
