A new luxury adults-only hotel is opening its doors this month on the Dutch Caribbean island of Curacao.
It’s called the Kura Botanica Hotel, and it’s a transformation of the former Kura Hulanda resort hotel in Willemstad.
It’s set in the Kura Hulanda village in the heart of Curacao’s exciting downtown area.
The 46-room hotel is home to a swimming pool (with poolside service), a wellness center and spa; daily complimentary breakfast.
But the focus is the adults-only vibe, the property says.
“All our facilities and our rooms and suites are focussed on the needs, wishes and relaxation of adults,” the Kura Botanica said in a statement.
There are three room categories: king rooms, junior suites and “themed suites.”
The latter are rather unique, with each room having its own “theme” from entertainment to fitness to, yes, rum.
Every room has a 65-inch flat screen TV, free Wi-Fi, a cooler, premium TV channels and smart vanity lighting, among other features.
Another option is a “wine package” which supplies premium rum for an added fee.
It’s another boost for the island, which has been seeing strong summer performance as it works to recover its pre-pandemic tourism numbers.
It’s the second major hotel to open in Willemstad in the last year, joining Best Western’s popular Brion City Hotel, a Best Western Signature Collection Hotel with 72 rooms.
