This Jamaica Resort Has a “Hurricane Guarantee”

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - May 26, 2022

Jamaica’s all-inclusive Holiday Inn Resort Montego Bay has relaunched its annual Hurricane Guarantee.

The program means that guests who hold confirmed reservations with nonrefundable deposits who cannot travel due to the closure of Jamaica’s airport due to a hurricane can rebook their reservations without penalty.

“The potential for summer storms shouldn’t stop anyone from planning a dream escape to Jamaica. Our Hurricane Guarantee allows travelers to book with confidence, secure in the knowledge that the investment they’ve made in choosing Holiday Inn will be protected,” said Nicola Madden-Greig, Group Director of Marketing and Sales at the resort.

If a hurricane interrupts resort operations for more than 24 hours, guests already at the hotel will receive a certificate for a future stay.

The program applies exclusively to U.S. travelers.
