Western Air Kicks Off Fort Lauderdale-Nassau Flights

Bahamian-owned and operated airline Western Air has launched a new route between Fort Lauderdale and Nassau.

The new route kicked off this week, with what will be daily jet service between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood and Nassau’s Lynden Pindling International Airport.

The company is operating the service on 50-seat Embraer ERJ145 aircraft.

Western Air will soon be expanding its flights from Freeport to Fort Lauderdale in the coming weeks.

The company was founded in 2001 and is headquartered in Andros.
