MSC Seaside to Homeport in Port Canaveral for Caribbean Cruises

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - May 3, 2022

MSC Cruises will homeport its Seaside cruise ship in Port Canaveral next year.

The Seaside-class ship will be sailing three and four-night cruises to MSC’s Ocean Cay in The Bahamas, and seven-night sailings that stop in Cozumel, Costa Maya, Belize and Ocean Cay.

“We are excited to welcome the MSC Seaside to Port Canaveral when she arrives next year and very proud of our partnership with MSC Cruises,” said Capt. John Murray, Port Canaveral CEO. “Deploying this beautiful Seaside-class ship, the new flagship in the MSC fleet, speaks of MSC Cruise Lines’ commitment to our Port and a testament to the best-in-class experience we provide for their guests.”

MSC’s Seaside class of ships is designed for Caribbean cruising, according to MSC Cruises USA President Ruben Rodriguez.

That means features like pools and dining and outdoor decks located lower and closer to the sea.

MSC launched year-round service from Cape Canaveral in 2021.

Seaside will be the third MSC vessel to homeport in Port Canaveral, joining Divina and Meraviglia.
