Bermuda’s New Travel Protocols Just Took Effect

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - March 7, 2022

Bermuda’s newest travel protocols have officially taken effect.

The new rules, which kicked off Nov. 7, require al visitors 12 and up to show proof of current vaccination, along with a negative test.

The negative tests include either antigen or PCR options; antigen tests must be taken and received within two days before arrival; PCR tests must be taken and received within four days before arrival.

All travelers ages 2 and up must show proof of a negative test.

The vaccination proof does not require a booster.

All travelers must complete Bermuda’s online travel form (you can find it here) and submit the necessary documents.

No further testing is required upon arrival in Bermuda.

The launch of new protocols comes as Bermuda prepares for a wave of relaunched airlift to the island.

That includes daily JetBlue flights from Boston on March 27; daily American Airlines flights from Philadelphia on April 5; daily United Airlines service from Newark beginning May 6; and a resumption of Air Canada flights on May 1.

“People are ready to travel, and Bermuda is eager to welcome them back,” said Douglas Trueblood, BTA Chief Sales and Marketing Officer. “While we remain dedicated to taking the utmost precautions, our new guidelines have been designed with convenience and comfort in mind, in addition to safety. Additionally, with several returning daily flights this spring, the island is easily accessible once again.”
