BVI Spring Regatta Set for End of March

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - January 23, 2022

The British Virgin Islands Spring Regatta is back for what will be its 49th edition.

This year’s event will take place from March 28 to April 3.

“As we look ahead to 2022, it is more exciting than ever to be able to enjoy a flagship event such as this in the BVI’s once again after the difficulties of the past two years,” said Ian Pedersen, senior marketing manager for The Moorings and Sunsail, longtime partners of the event. “ invite guests to reach out to The Moorings or Sunsail Yacht Charters if they are interested in chartering a race boat or as a spectator yacht for the 2022 event.”

The regatta will be held at the Nanny Cay Resort and Marina.

It will be “100 percent focused on world-class racing,” according to a statement from the regatta.

The event will begin with the Scrub Island Invitational Regatta , followed by a race towards the western islands of the BVI; the Mount Gay Race Day will be held on April 1,
