Grenada has waived the quarantine requirement for fully vaccinated travelers, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The Eastern Caribbean island has removed what was a 48-hour mandated quarantine for all fully vaccinated visitors.

Now, the fully vaccinated simply need to show proof of a negative PCR test taken and received within 72 hours of travel and proof of a World Health Organization-approved vaccination.

Grenada has also removed the requirement of Pure Safe Travel Authorization Certificate.

The move is the biggest change to Grenada’s travel protocols since the onset of the pandemic; it could mean a tourism boost to a destination that had some of the more restrictive quarantine requirements in the region for much of the pandemic.

It’s also the first significant change to Grenada’s entry protocols since July, when it instituted a requirement that all visitors be fully vaccinated in order to enter the country.

In other changes, fully vaccinated travelers can now use their own personal transportation or be picked up by a fully vaccinated individual.

Grenada will also cease on-arrival testing for vaccinated travelers, unless deemed necessary by Grenadian health officials.

You’ll have to show your original vaccination card as proof of vaccination, both to the airlines at check in before your flight to Grenada and upon arrival in Grenada, according to the Grenada Tourism Authority.

Instead, travelers will now have to fill out a Health Declaration Form, which can be found here
