Frontier Airlines Just Launched Another New Route to Puerto Rico

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - November 11, 2021 - 2:57 pm

Low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines, which continues to expand rapidly in the Caribbean, has added another nonstop route to Puerto Rico.

The airline has officially kicked off its new route from Jacksonville, Fla. to San Juan.

The new service is operating three times each week, with service on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, according to Frontier’s Web site.

“Amplifying access from key mainland markets to the vibrant Island of Puerto Rico further adds to the seamlessness of traveling to the convenient domestic destination, and we are thrilled to welcome our neighbors in Jacksonville, Florida through this new nonstop route,” said Brad Dean CEO of Discover Puerto Rico, the island’s destination marketing organization. “The increased flight capacity from our partners at Frontier Airlines is a vote of confidence in the Island’s continued success and what it offers travelers – one-of-a-kind experiences and rich culture without the need for a passport.”

Frontier also operates routes from Chicago, Atlanta, Newark, Philadelphia, Miami, Orlando and Raleigh-Durham to San Juan.

“We’re excited to launch new nonstop flight between Jacksonville and San Juan,” said Alfredo Gonzalez, International and Domestic sales Manager at Frontier Airlines. “Frontier is focused on ‘Low Fares Done Right,’ and this new service offers Jacksonville area residents an affordable and convenient way to explore Puerto Rico and make unforgettable vacation memories this winter and beyond.”
