Posadas Is Opening Two New Resorts in Cancun

By: Dana Niland - November 10, 2021 - 8:21 pm

Mexican hotel giant Posadas is adding a pair of new resorts in Cancun on the Caribbean coast of Mexico, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The company has announced two new developments: Live Aqua Beach Resort Cancun and Grand Fiesta Americana Riviera Cancun — one an adults-only, the other focused on families.

The two resorts will add to Posadas’ nine existing resorts in the Mexican Caribbean region.

“We are proud to announce the development of these two magnificent resorts in the state of Quintana Roo and add them to our already robust offerings in the Mexican Caribbean to expand our brand’s footprint and to continue providing unbeatable experiences, contributing to the reactivation of tourism in our country,” said José Carlos Azcarraga, CEO of Posadas.

The adults-only Live Aqua Beach Resort Cancun, part of a continued expansion for the Live Aqua brand (which recently entered the Punta Cana market), will include 452 rooms and a signature spa.

The family-friendly Grand Fiesta Americana Riviera Cancun will have a total of 600 rooms, along with a spa, a theater, a water park and wedding spaces.

The two resorts will share a convention center with space for up to 2,000 people, according to the company.

They’ll also share a total of 19 different food and beverage concepts.
