Carnival Cruise Line Plans More Ship Restarts in the Caribbean

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - July 29, 2021

Carnival Cruise Line is planning to relaunch three more cruise ships for the Caribbean in September, the company said.

That will be followed by another four in October, bringing the company’s total number of relaunched ships to 15.

The three ships are Carnival Glory from New Orleans, Carnival Pride from Baltimore and Carnival Dream from Galveston, which will start on Sept. 5, 12 and 19, respectively.

In October, Carnival Conquest and Freedom will relaunch from Miami, followed by Carnival Elation from Port Canaveral and Carnival Sensation from Mobile.

“We are very excited about our restart and greatly appreciate the support of our guests, travel agents and port and destination partners,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.  “By the end of July, we will have five ships in our restart plan, including the introduction of service on Mardi Gras, and we are seeing a great combination of strong demand and strong guest satisfaction scores tied to the positive guest experience on board.”
