JW Marriott Expands in Mexico

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - May 5, 2021

Another JW Marriott has opened its doors in Mexico, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The brand has opened the new JW Marriott Monterrey Valle, the fifth JW Marriott-branded resort in the country.

The hotel, which is owned by Fibra Inn and operated by Grupo Hotelero Prisma, has 250 rooms and suites.

“We are excited to continue to grow our JW Marriott portfolio in Mexico with the opening of JW Marriott Monterrey Valle,” said Bruce Rohr, Global Brand Leader of JW Marriott. “Whether traveling for business or pleasure, this dynamic, bustling city is perfect for the JW Marriott experience, one which centers on the holistic well-being of our guests and invites them to pause, reset and live in the moment. A respite from the outside world, JW Marriott Monterrey Valle provides a modern, luxurious and wellness-focused setting for travelers seeking a stay that nourishes the mind, body and spirit.”

The hotel includes an eatery by renowned chef Sergi Arola called Orfebre Cocina Artesana, along with an Executive Lounge and a Lobby Bar.

There’s also a Spa by JW, featuring private treatment rooms, a sauna, a salon and in-suite massages.

Other amenities include a pool and a 24-hour fitness center, along with nine event spaces totaling more than 10,000 square feet.

“We are delighted to expand the presence of JW Marriott in one of the most important cities for the economy and social life in Mexico, with Monterrey being the home to both national and global companies that are part of the history and development of this country,” said Leandro Castillo Parada, CEO Grupo Hotelero Prisma. “We hope that our guests will feel inspired and enriched by their stay in this city of world-class museums, stunning mountains and an emerging culinary scene.”
