Puerto Rico will soon fine travelers who arrive without a negative PCR test, Discover Puerto Rico announced this week.

Beginning April 28, Puerto Rico will impose a $300 fine on all travelers who arrive without a negative PCR test; they’ll then be required to obtain a PCR test on the island within 48 hours of arrival.

The negative test must then be uploaded to Puerto Rico’s online portal within 48 hours for the fine to be dismissed.

All travelers to the destination need to fill out the Puerto Rico Health Department’s online portal and get a negative PCR test result within 72 hours prior to visiting the island.
