American Airlines Names New VP of International Operations

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - April 13, 2021

American Airlines has named a new Vice President of international operations, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The carrier has taped Jose Freig for the role; Freig had most recently been serving as managing director for Latin America and the Caribbean.

“It is a real honor to lead American’s International Operations and Premium Guest Services. The integration of our teams around the globe provides a unique opportunity to drive forward our shared mission to create a world-class customer experience as we continue on our path to recovery,” Freig said in a statement.

Freig has been with American Airlines since 2008.

American is continuing to grow its Caribbean footprint this year, with plans to launch its first-ever service to Samana in the Dominican Republic later this year.
