Coveted Bermuda Waterfront Property Heads to Auction

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - March 9, 2021

A coveted waterfront site in the most exclusive residential enclave in Bermuda is headed to auction, Caribbean Journal Invest has learned.

The home at 12 Shell Point Road in Bermuda’s Tucker’s Town peninsula will be auctioned to the highest bidder on Saturday, March 20 at 11 AM EDT.

The auction is being held by Elite Auctions.

The property gives buyers the chance to “create their perfect Bermuda waterfront haven within the island’s most exclusive residential enclave,” according to Elite Auctions.

“This property is quite unique in that it combines a highly-coveted location with the fact that vacant waterfront building lots simply do not exist on the Tucker’s Town peninsula, and non-Bermudian homes in tear-down condition are a rarity here,” says Kristoffer Stewart, director of marketing at Elite Auctions. “The lifestyle, the location, the exclusivity of Tucker’s Town…. Altogether, this is an extraordinary opportunity, and it’s going to go to the highest bidder, regardless of price, on auction day.”

The property, called “At Last,” is a 1.4 acre lot that includes a 6,000-square-foot home built in 1952 that’s ready for either a remodel, a teardown or a rebuild.

The property, nestled between two 18-hole golf courses, has its own, recently-built private pier, along with a private dock, a boathouse and a boat slip.

It’s set on its own promontory in the Castle Harbour area, with a sandy beach that appears at lower tides.

Both the Mid-Ocean and Tucker’s Point golf clubs are within an easy walk or golf cart ride.

Bermudian architectural firm Benevides & Associates has designed a new residence and guest cottage for the site that would total 13,650 square feet.

The plans are available upon request.
