By: Alexander Britell - February 7, 2021 - 5:33 pm

St Maarten’s most anticipated new resort in years is set for a June debut, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The Morgan, a new resort in Simpson Bay, is slated to open its doors on June 1, the property confirmed.

The property began taking reservations on Feb. 15.

The 124-unit property will have a mix of rooms and suites, along with a rooftop observation deck with unmatched views of landing jets at St Maarten’s Princess Juliana International Airport.

The crisply-designed guest rooms, outfitted in a mix of blues and whites, will include spa-style bathrooms with glass walk in showers, floor-to-ceiling windows opening to private balconies or terraces and free Wi-Fi.

That’s along with a swim-up pool bar, a range of cabanas and a centerpiece beach-style infinity pool.

The cabanas will be unique in St Maarten, with lounge-style couches, smart TVs, lush landscaping and paddle fans, among other perks.

Dining concepts will include the aforementioned Bar M pool bar and a restaurant and bar called Salt; the dining program will be led by former Top Chef contestant and Caribbean culinary leader Ron Duprat.
